Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with Autokue in just a few easy steps!
Step 1: Download and Install
Start by downloading the Autokue app from the App Store. Open the app after installation.
Step 2: Create Your First Script
Go to the 'Home' screen of the app and tap '+' to start creating. You can check here the different options to create or import your scripts.
Step 3: Edit Your Script
In this crucial step, you’ll have full control over how your script looks and feels. With the rich text editor accessible right from your keyboard, you can customize the typography, adjust the font size, and select background colors to create an ideal reading experience. Additionally, you can set individual scrolling speeds for each script, ensuring that you’re comfortable as you deliver your lines.
To enhance your performance, you can also write associated notes that will appear while in teleprompter mode, serving as helpful reminders. Don’t forget to apply your favorite font, which can be easily selected from the teleprompter settings. Plus, you have the option to adjust line spacing to improve readability. This level of customization allows you to create a personalized script that meets your specific needs and preferences, setting you up for success!
Step 4: Adjust Your Settings
Customize your script thoroughly through the settings screen, where you can adjust a variety of options to enhance your experience. Change your favorite font style, select colors, and align your text to create a layout that fits your style.
Additionally, you can modify the speed of the scrolling text, adjust the size of the text area for better visibility, enable smart scroll for a smoother experience, activate chroma mode for green screen use, change your reading indicator, set a countdown timer for precise starts, and even switch to mirror mode to use the teleprompter with a rig.
Take your time to explore these features and find the perfect setup that meets your needs, and be sure to save your configurations for future recordings!
Step 5: Launch The Teleprompter
Now that you’ve prepared your script, it’s time to bring your words to life! From the 'Home' screen, simply press the '...' icon next to the script you want to play, and select 'Teleprompter' to enter the teleprompter mode.
Once in the teleprompter, you can start recording by tapping the "REC" button. This feature allows you to capture your performance seamlessly, video recording is one of the key features of Autokue. Additionally, you have the option to lock exposure and focus, ensuring that your visuals remain consistent throughout the shoot.
If you notice any mistakes during your presentation, don't worry! You can edit the script on the fly, making real-time adjustments as needed. To enhance your recording experience, you can also change the scrolling speed of the script, tailoring it to your delivery style.
Need a quick reminder? Your associated notes can be displayed on-screen to help keep you on track. Plus, you can take photos during the recording, allowing you to capture moments as they happen. With these powerful tools at your fingertips, you're set to deliver a flawless performance!
